Dr. Karimi believes great dermatology is equal parts science and listening — understanding the whole person, not just the skin.
Dr. Karimi began her academic journey exploring the complexities of the human mind, earning a Psychology degree from the University of Texas at Austin, followed by a Biomedical Sciences degree from the University of North Texas. That path led her to medical school at Texas Tech University School of Medicine in Lubbock, where she earned her Medical Degree — and, defying convention, simultaneously completed an MBA at Texas Tech’s Rawls College of Business, pairing clinical expertise with real business acumen.
Her training carried her across the country: a preliminary intern year on the sun-soaked shores of Southern California at the University of California, Irvine, followed by her Dermatology residency in Minneapolis at the University of Minnesota. There she refined her craft and built a deep foundation in patient-centered care.

As a dermatologist, Dr. Karimi leads with a spirit of service in every interaction. She is known for empowering patients through transformative, individualized treatment plans that support both outer and inner well-being. With a passion for tangible results, she stands out for her uniquely compassionate approach — truly understanding each patient by listening closely, synthesizing the full picture, and tailoring options to the individual.

Dr. Karimi’s vibrant spirit shows up in everything she does. She writes poetry to capture life’s moments, chases the thrill of discovery through new places and new music, and finds joy in the everyday. Her loyal companion through it all is Tiberius, the furry king of her heart. Deeply spiritual, she devotes herself to growth, wisdom, and a little stardust wherever she goes.
